Final Time

After many days with fierce battles finally we have come to the end of the championship. Today was the penultimate eighth round in Antalya and it has proved to be a decisive one in many categories.

In the U8-Open group, Llari(FRA) has beaten his opponent and leading his category with one point up before going into the last round. In the U8-Girls group, the unbeatable player Kokareva(FID) earnt another victory today and secured the first place before playing the last round.

In the U10-Open group, Yilmaz(TUR) has ended the day with draw and he continues as the sole leader with 7 points before last round. In the U10-Girls group, Lampou(GRE) managed to win against her opponent and became the sole leader of her group before heading to the final round.

In the U12-Open group, Cieslak(POL) shocked the Ahmad(AZE) with beating him. The leadership is being shared with 6,5 points between five player before going to the last round: Ahmad(AZE), Cieslak(POL), Sowinski(POL), Temirbekov(FID) and Gilfanov(FID). The leadership is being shared with 6,5 points between three players in the U12-Girls group. Goriachkina(FID) managed to win against the current leader Preobrazhenskaya(FID) and they are sharing the leadership with Mgeladze(GEO) with 6,5 points before last round.

In the U14-Open group, Gurel(TUR) and Bazakutsa(UKR) were both winning their games and sharing the leadership with 7 points before the final round. In the U14-Girls group, second seed player Kleymenova(FID) and first seed player FM Zhapova(FID) faced in the first board. Kleymenova(FID) managed to win the game and becomes the sole leader with 7 points before last round.

In the U16-Open group, leadership is being shared with 6,5 points between five players: IM Grebnev(FID), IM Razafindratsima(FRA), IM Ohanyan(ARM), IM Khubukshanov(FID) and Malek(POL). WFM Schippke(FRA) has ended today with draw and shares the leadership with Karmanova(FID) and Manko(UKR) with 6,5 points.

In the U18-Open group Makarian(FID) is being the sole leader with 7 points and will face for the championship with IM Murzin(FID) who has 6,5 points. WIM Mkrtchyan(ARM) managed to beat her opponent and secured her first place before playing the last round.
