Third Round
Adsız tasarım - 2022-11-08T220052.014The third round of 2022 European Youth Chess Championship has been played today. Again young players showed great fighting spirit and enthusiasm and there were many hard-fought battles!

There are 7 full points players from different federations in the U8-Open group. No draw results came from U8-Girls this round and 6 players have 3 points after 3 rounds. Good results for Turkey team continues from U10-Open group where 2 of 4 full points players are Turkish. 7 players continue with full points in U10-Girls group.

Most competitive group is U12-Open group with no draw in the first boards and 9 players remain perfect score. Top two seeds continue with perfect score in U12-Girls with 4 other players are joining them in the lead. 7 players are going with full points in U14-Open with first seed player IM Gurel(TUR) is leading his category with another exciting victory in an instructive endgame. In the U14-Girls group second seed player WFM Kleymenova(FID) had an undisturbed victory with 47 minutes left on her clock in 27 moves game.

Seventh seed player FM Macias(ESP) is leading the U16-Open with total 3 full point players where FM Davtyan(ARM) shocked the top seed with a spectacular victory in 32 moves. In the U16-Girls group, WFM Schippke(FRA) played an aggressive variation against Sicilian Najdorf and won her third consecutive victory with joining 3 other players in the leading her group.

In U18-Open group only 4 players continue with full points while top two seeded players have lost point today. Third seed player IM Gines(ESP) managed to win his game in a pawn down endgame and became the only top ten seed player in his group. In the U18-Girls group an underdog player, starting in twenty-third seed, WFM Galvan(WFM) continues with perfect score while having victories against fifth and seventh seed players and joining 3 other players in the leadership.

The fourth round of the championship will start on Wednesday at 15:00 local time. We wish good luck to all players!

Important Notice For 8-10 Years Old Players

It is extremely important to put the sign to player’s namecard given by organization and write whatsapp number on player's namecard who wants assistance to their kids. It is not possible to connect with "ACC Person" without whatsapp number.

 
Second Round
Adsız tasarım - 2022-11-07T215703.246The second round of 2022 European Youth Chess Championship has been played today. The round saw many interesting and hard-fought battles between young players and the results show that nothing should be taken for granted in a field of determined youngsters!
We haven’t witnessed many surprises in the second round and the favorites generally have won their games but some young players also managed to surprise their opponents. However with each round things will surely get more and more tough for all!
The third round of the championship will start on Tuesday at 15:00 local time. We wish good luck to all players!

European Youth Chess Championship started in Antalya
AW753240 062022 European Youth Chess Championship started today with 1000 players from 46 federations. After the opening ceremony attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu, ECU President Zurab Azmaiparashvili, TCF President Gulkiz Tulay and Turkiye Is Bankasi Deputy General Manager Suat Sozen the ceremonial first move was made to start the first round of the championship.
In addition, at the opening ceremony,  Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu met with the Turkish National Team players who won 2022 U16 Chess Olympiad.

Biggest surprise of first day came from U10 group where first 4 seed players have lost their matches against Turkish players Mehmet Alper Celebi, Deniz Anakok, Ruzgar Odabasi, Yusuf Ruzgar Bayramiclilar and 5th seed player Gorkem Unsal won against his opponent. With these results, first 5 boards of U10 group have resulted with Turkish players’ victory.

The second round will start on Monday at 15:00 local time. Good luck to all players!

Technical Meeting
WhatsApp Image 2022-11-06 at 11.45.542022 European Youth Chess Championship, the largest official youth event of the year, is starting today. The tournament will be played in 5-15 November 2022 with 1000 players from 46 federations. 
All matches will be played in Hall B located in Pine Beach Hotel which is 2400m2  in size offers our players a comfortable and spacious sportive environment. Parents, trainers and Head of Delegations will be able to wait for the players and follow the live games in the Hall C and the terrace of Hall B with a free water, tea, coffee and wifi service. 
Technical meeting has organized on starting day. Important details about the tournament have been given by the organizing committee and lots were drawed for every playing group. You can find some important details about the tournament.
-First 10 boards of each playing group will be streamed on offical website with 15 minutes delay.
-There is a waiting area for 8-10 years old kids in front of playing venue. Parents who want asistence to their kids can put the sign to player’s namecard given by organization. Our staff will connect their parents via whatsapp and asist them to their parents.
